If are just getting started with Outlook to manage your mailbox on a Microsoft Exchange Server, you are bound to have heard a lot about its powerful features as well as its versatility. With this one application, you can send and receive mails, manage your appointments, set up reminders, make notes, keep track of your projects and so much more. Collaboration with your colleagues is fairly easy with Outlook. Your system administrator will also be scheduling regular backups of the folder on the server and should be able to assist you recover any items or folder that you may have accidentally deleted anything by using these backups to carry out an outlook recovery.
However, it is always advisable that you move items from the main mailbox to a Personal Folders file or PST on your local computer. Using Outlook, you can easily manage these items and also keep the main mailbox at a reasonable size. You will therefore have to instruct Outlook to ignore the older, damaged version of the PST file and start using this new recovered version.
